THE SECRET FORMULAE OF PV COATING + SPRAYING TECHNIQUE + SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT has been tried & tested for more than 15 years.
PVCoating helps by making it easier and faster, for the rain to clean PV surfaces, thus helping to increase the electricity production. Read More on Dirty PV = Less electricity.
PVCoating helps to protect panels from wearing out easily, by protecting the panels from the followings :
- Scratching e.g. from regular cleaning.
- Corrosion e.g. from corrosive air chemicals i.e. in sea-salt areas.
- Staining e.g. from harsh air chemicals i.e. in industrial areas.
- General wear & tear e.g. from aging.
UV light from the sun causes panels to fade, which gradually damages the panels. This contributes to the gradual reduction in the efficiency of the panels. However, PVCoating helps to minimise the damaging effect of UV light on the panels.
By making it more difficult for organic pollutants to take root, PVCoating helps to inhibit the growth of the followings :
- Algae
- Moss
- Lichen
- etc
By using it’s photo-catalytic mechanism, PVCoating helps to passively breakdown the following pollutants namely :
- Bird droppings
- Pollens
- Tree saps
- Vehicle emissions.
- Co2
- So2
- Lead
- Nitrogen Oxides
- VOCs
PVCoating helps to prevent panels from degrading or failing, by helping to reduce HOT SPOTS.
Hot spots in solar panels are areas on the panel that are subject to higher temperatures than the rest of the panel. In addition, hotspots are generally unstable and intensify over time and could lead to degradation or panel failure. It can be caused by dirt accumulation, shading on panels, mis-match cells etc Since PVcoating helps to reduce dirt accumulation, it will be helping in-directly to reduce the hot spots on the panels.
PVCoating helps snow to slide off the PV surface faster. Michigan Tech University found panels coated with PVCoating to be about 5% more efficient in snow, than un-coated panels.
Solar PVs usually lose about 0.5% efficiency yearly. However, Solar PVs coated with PVCoating were tested after 3 years, and no decline in performance were observed. This is because PV Coating also helps to protect panels from UV light degradation. Read more about PV degradation here
